Elizabeth(2024.10.11-10.13)
We make vows in various moments.
Because deep down, we recognize our own imperfections.
What we can accomplish alone may be very small.
That’s why we collaborate—with many “people” and “things”—to create many “experiences.”
Nature and artificiality may stand in contrast, yet they coexist, sustain, and are passed down.
Countless moments of “time” have been layered upon them.
The flow of that “time” we have given moves gently, as if drawing a spiral.
It is in this “now”—made of time that passes and never returns, and time that flows yet repeats—that I’ve given the name “Elizabeth.”
mood(2023.9.7-9.17)
I’ve long focused my lens on “things that have form but lack meaning.”
As I transformed countless “images” I had taken into “photographs,” each of them began to speak to me.
“We are here,” they said.
These photographs were born from intertwining the various “objects” and “moments” I encountered in daily life with “people” and “time.”
Each viewer will likely feel something different depending on their own “now.”
Some days, a photo might speak to you—other days, perhaps not.
It all depends on your “mood.”
I captured moments of these things that seemed on the verge of disappearing—of being forgotten.
I would be happy if you could feel the presence of these things and the atmosphere surrounding them, without resisting the subtle movements of your own heart.
